The Call Prevention Registry is the UK’s leading anti-nuisance calls service provider with a client base of 170,000 and a turnover exceeding £1/2m. They are a commercial organisation who work to put a stop all unwanted and unsolicited sales and nuisance telephone calls made to UK consumers either from UK or overseas-based sales companies.
Over 3 billion unwanted sales calls are made to UK consumers each year and despite regulation of the telephone sector the number of calls remains unacceptably high. For most of us these calls are an annoyance while for others they can create feelings of anxiety and fear, especially among the elderly.
MacKenzie-Cummins Communications has been charged with the responsibility of bringing the Call Prevention Registry’s PR function in-house for the first time. From creating a new public relations team which consisted of an executive and market researcher Paul MacKenzie-Cummins assumed the position of interim head of public relations.
We have worked with Call Prevention Registry to understand their market, conducted a number of business critical market research surveys and planned, developed, executed and analysed a series of highly effective media relations campaigns which have resulted in significant coverage across both print and broadcast media.
Acting as media spokesperson, Paul MacKenzie-Cummins continues to take part in a number of on-air live radio debates regarding various consumer issues; from consumer rights for privacy and nuisance calls to issues regarding the elderly and vulnerable members of society. Call Prevention Registry has quickly become regarded as a leading authority within the field of nuisance calls in the UK.
Through a series of positive case studies, news stories, expert articles pieces and comment opportunities, MacKenzie-Cummins Communications positioned the Call Prevention Registry regularly within its target media with a regular flow of editorial coverage and broadcast media opportunities.
We have also overseen the rebranding of Call Prevention Registry and assumed responsibility for their recruitment and employee attraction strategy and positioned them as a local employer of choice in Swansea.
We are currently in the process of launching the Call Prevention Registry service in the Republic of Ireland and MacKenzie-Cummins Communications is again directing the media campaign and logistics of establishing this new market for our client.
From a standing start MacKenzie-Cummins Communications has increased Call Prevention Registry’s brand awareness, re-introduced the topic of nuisance calls into the UK media, strengthened our client’s internal communication strategy, and positioned our client as the leading anti-nuisance calls service provider in the UK.
Not to mention the fact that our marketing communications strategy has increased Call Prevention Registry’s annual turnover by 25% year on year.
