Paul MacKenzie-Cummins, Founder

In May 2010 I formally established MacKenzie Cummins Communications Ltd as an independent consultancy to reflect the sustained growth of my freelance business and enable me to expand my overall offering to both new and existing clients. From providing traditional media relations and editorial content, MacKenzie Cummins Communications Ltd is now able to incorporate a wider range of services including social media and digital PR, photography, graphic design, employer branding and media buying.

Michelle Brown, Associate

Michelle Brown is an Associate for MacKenzie Cummins Communications Ltd. Michelle is the former Head of PR for Monster (UK & Ireland) – a position she held from 2004 to 2010 with considerable PR experience both agency and client side.

Sheila Kennedy

Sheila Kennedy is our Scottish consultant and a senior PR practitioner with vast experience working both client side and for agencies in the UK and Asia in a career spanning two decades. Sheila works specifically with based north of the border.

Carina Philips

Former lawyer and business journalist, Carina has a breadth of PR and marketing communications experience across a range of industry sectors.

We also work with our partner company who are a specialist team of digital and design experts for all web-based client requirements.

MacKenzie Cummins Communications was formerly launched in 2010 by a seasoned media professional with 15 years PR, Journalism and Advertising experience working for some of the UK’s most respected newspapers and advertising agencies.

We’ve grown fast in a short period of time and are building a client portfolio that is fast-becoming the envy of many of the PR agencies we were trying to emulate when we first started. From start-up companies and non-profit organisations to multi-national organisations with annual sales exceeding £100 million, we have already attracted a range of clients through word-of-mouth recommendations.

We’re different to most other PR agencies.

Sure, everyone says that but we really are. And one of the main reasons is this:

You need to appoint an agency with an in-depth knowledge of your industry, an agency who understands the context in which you operate, the challenges your sector faces, and the emerging issues affecting your business and those of your competitors.

Where we are different is that we won’t take you on as a client for the sake of taking you on like many other agencies, we will only work with you if we have a solid understanding of your industry – because believe us that editors and journalists can spot a PR who lacks any real understanding of their clients’ business a mile off.

By remaining deliberately independent and resisting the temptation to become absorbed by a large-scale consultancy means that we continue to offer a personal service that treat's your business as if it was our own which, our clients say, is one of the most important determining factors they have when considering which consultancy to work with.
